Why I Wrote It

I didn’t set out to become an authority on astrology.

I set out to understand why generation after generation kept returning to the same twelve symbols.

The deeper I explored, the more fascinating the journey became.

Eventually I realised I wasn’t writing about astrology at all.

I was writing about attention.

The sort of attention that notices blossom before anyone else does.

The sort that recognises a familiar birdsong.

The sort that sees beauty in things that have been repaired instead of replaced.

Those felt like ideas worth preserving, regardless of where you stand on astrology itself.
