Morgan Bay (also known by its official name, Gxarha) is a secluded slice of paradise on the Wild Coast, about 90 km north of East London.
It’s the complete opposite of a busy commercial beach resort.
Here the landscape is defined by dramatic contrasts — 70-metre dolerite cliffs plunging into the Indian Ocean, calm waters of the Ichara Lagoon, and long stretches of undeveloped golden beach.
It’s the kind of place where a simple day trip can easily turn into a full weekend adventure.
