Revision Studio – Self-Assessment for Real Understanding

R200.00

Revision Studio helps you stop pretending you know things. It walks you through five specific questions that expose the gap between what you think you understand and what you actually do. For teachers preparing lessons, freelancers learning new skills, or anyone doing serious self-study — R200.00 gets you a tool that makes your weak spots impossible to ignore.

Description

The revision tool that doesn’t let you lie to yourself

I built Revision Studio because I got tired of pretending.

For years, I’d “study” by rereading chapters and highlighting sentences. Felt great. Looked productive. Then I’d close the book and realise I couldn’t explain a single concept to someone else.

That’s not studying. That’s passive consumption with extra steps.

Here’s what actually works: forcing yourself to generate answers without the source material in front of you. No prompts. No multiple choice. Just a blank box and a question that hurts a little.

Revision Studio asks five questions per topic:

What exactly are you trying to learn? Be specific.
Define it in your own words. No textbook.
How does this connect to what you already knew?
What part is still fuzzy? Name the gap.
Give a real-world example not from your material.

That last one is the killer. If you can’t find an example outside the textbook, you’re memorising — not understanding.

I built this for teachers who need to check their own subject knowledge before a lesson. For freelancers picking up a new framework. For students who want to stop wasting time on fake productivity.

The app saves your answers locally. No cloud, no login, no data mining. You can run the installer on Windows, carry the portable EXE on a USB stick, or open the PWA in any browser.

The AI feedback happens inside your own LLM — ChatGPT, Claude, whatever you use. Revision Studio builds the prompt. You paste it in. The AI tells you what you missed, what you got right, and asks one genuinely hard follow-up question.

Human in the Loop

I embrace human-in-the-loop AI because the best results happen when human judgment and creativity guide the machine, not the other way around. My apps use AI to accelerate thinking and reduce friction, while keeping people firmly in control of the final decisions, direction, and meaning.

Pricing is R200.00. One time. Because tools that respect your attention shouldn’t rent it out monthly.

You don’t need more flashcards. You need someone to call you out when you’re coasting.

Try the PWA — grab the Windows Installer or Portable version if you want offline access. Either way, expect to feel a little uncomfortable. That’s the point.

Q: Do I need an internet connection to use it?
A: Only for the PWA version. The Windows Installer and Portable EXE work completely offline. Your answers never leave your machine unless you paste the prompt into an AI tool.

Q: How is this different from flashcards or quizzes?
A: Those test recognition. You see the answer and feel like you knew it. Revision Studio forces you to generate answers from scratch with no prompts. That’s actual recall — and it hurts differently.

Q: Can I use this for any subject?
A: Yes. The five questions are subject-agnostic. History, coding, biology, business — doesn’t matter. The AI feedback will adapt based on the country and grade level you set in the config.

Q: Why would I pay R200.00 when I could just write the questions myself?
A: You could. But you won’t. The value isn’t the questions — it’s the structure, the autosave, the prompt builder, and the fact that it’s always one click away. Most people need a container, not just instructions.
